CCR was founded by her late father Pelerson Soares Penido, and became one of Latin America's largest infrastructure concession companies. CCR also owns a stake in STP, an electronic payment system for toll operators similar to E-Z Pass in the United States. The company trades on Brazil's Bovespa exchange; she owns about 10% of the shares.
