Behdad Eghbali cofounded Clearlake Capital in 2006 with Jose E. Feliciano. Clearlake Capital has more than $90 billion in assets under management; it is known for scoring some of the private equity industry's best returns. The firm is known for buying software, industrial and consumer products companies. In 2022, Clearlake joined billionaire investor Todd Boehly to buy English soccer team Chelsea FC. Prior to Clearlake, Eghbali worked in private equity for TPG Capital for several years. Eghbali was born in Iran and moved to the U.S. with his family when he was a child.
