About Me

Caroline Hagen Kjos became chairman of her family's Canica AS holding company in 2014. The Swiss resident also received a majority stake in Canica at at that time. Her father, Norwegian billionaire Stein Erik Hagen, founded discount supermarket Rimi with his father in the 1970s. Rimi merged with Sweden's ICA group in 1998 and later with Dutch retailer Ahold; Hagen eventually sold his stake, forming Canica AS with the proceeds. Canica AS now has a number of investments across Scandinavia, including consumer goods manufacturer Orkla ASA and hardware store chain Jernia.
