Charles Zegar is one of four billionaire cofounders of financial information and media giant Bloomberg LP. Zegar, who got a computer science degree at NYU, built the first software for Bloomberg LP's terminals. The son of a subway conductor, he was widowed as a young man and remarried in 2001. He and his current wife, Merryl Snow Zegar, donate to Jewish causes and inner-city education via their Zegar Family Foundation.
