David Teoh is the founder of Australia's TPG Telecom. He emigrated from Malaysia in 1986. A series of smart acquisitions transformed the company from a computer retailer into a major internet service provider in Australia. Teoh's listed internet service provider TPG merged with Vodafone Hutchison Australia in 2020 and was relisted as TPG Telecom. He resigned as executive chairman in 2021. His Simba Telecom (formerly TPG Singapore) is looking to buy Singapore telecoms outfit M1 In a $1.1 billion deal, pending regulatory approval.
