Frank Holding is Chairman and CEO of First Citizens Bank, a $31 billion (market cap) commercial banking chain, since 2008. Holding's grandfather, Robert Powell Holding, became an employee of the bank in 1918, and became president by 1935, before passing it down to Frank's father, Lewis Holding. Today, Frank and his four sisters collectively own about 20% of the bank. Holding also serves as a board member of Wake Forest University.
