Gurbachan Singh Dhingra is the vice chairman emeritus of Berger Paints India, the country's second-largest paint maker by market share. He controls the company with his brother Kuldip Singh Dhingra, also a billionaire. In 1991 the brothers bought Berger Paints, then the country's smallest paint maker, from liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya. Apart from India, Berger has a presence in Bangladesh, Nepal, Poland and Russia. His son Kanwardip Singh Dhingra was appointed vice chairman in August 2024.
