Heinrich Otto Deichmann is chairman of Deichmann SE, one of Europe's largest shoe retailers with 2024 sales revenue of about $9 billion. Headquartered in Essen, Germany, the company operates 4,700 locations across 34 countries and employs nearly 50,000 people. His grandfather Heinrich Deichmann started the business as a shoemaker store in 1913 and ran it with his wife Julie. Deichmann joined the company in 1989 and became its chairman ten years later; he now owns 80% of the company. His son Samuel joined the management board in 2020
