About Me

Igor Yakovlev is the founder of Kari, a Russian retailer of shoes, accessories and household products, which he founded in 2012. Kari boasts 1,200 locations across Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Yekaterinburg, among other cities. He also has stake in Sulpak, a large consumer electronics retailer in Kazakhstan; the company makes up a small part of his fortune. In 2008 Yakovlev bought a 50% stake in FC Anzhi Makhachkala, a professional soccer club in Russia. Three years later he sold it to fellow Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov.
