About Me

J. Frank Harrison, III is the long-time chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Consolidated, the largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in the U.S. He owns 15% of the publicly traded company, which his great-grandfather J.B. Harrison founded in 1902, but has majority voting control. He succeeded his father J. Frank Harrison, Jr. (d. 2002) as CEO in 1994 and chairman in 1996. A graduate of the University of North Carolina and Duke MBA, he joined the Charlotte-based company in 1977 and got his start running routes and operating bottling lines. A devout Christian, he cofounded a missionary organization called Open Eyes with his son James Harrison IV, who died while doing relief work in Kenya in 2010.
