I strongly believe to build a company you have to spend a lot of time on it. Ten years at least.

About Me

Jyoti Bansal is the founder and CEO of software delivery company Harness, which uses AI agents to automate the manual labor of making sure code is secure and compliant with regulations. Bansal grew up helping his dad with his farming machinery business in a small town in India's Rajasthan state, before testing into Delhi's Indian Institute of Technology for computer engineering. He immigrated to the U.S. at age 21 and worked as an engineer at a handful of startups in Silicon Valley for seven years on an H1-B visa before getting his green card. Bansal sold his first company, AppDynamics, which diagnoses and troubleshoots software anomalies, to Cisco for $3.7 billion in 2017. He founded Harness soon after. Harness raised a $240 million Series E funding round from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Institutional Venture Partners and Menlo Ventures at a $5.5 billion valuation in late 2025.
