The company's investment apps include Futubull for users in China and Moomoo for overseas traders. Futubull can't sign up new users in mainland China since 2022, when authorities scrutinized its service amid worries of capital outflow and data security. The company has been expanding internationally in markets including Malaysia, Singapore and the U.S. Li founded Futu in 2007, after a seven-year stint at Chinese internet giant Tencent, where he held senior management positions.
