About Me

Margarita Louis-Dreyfus is the majority owner and chairwoman of agricultural commodities giant Louis-Dreyfus. Her husband Robert Louis-Dreyfus died of leukemia in 2009, leaving her a 69.6% stake in the now 167-year-old business. She reportedly pledged her shares to take out a $1 billion loan in 2019 to buy out minority stakes owned by family members. In 2016, she sold French soccer team Olympique Marseille to former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, but held onto a 5% stake. That same year, she gave birth to twins at age 53. Her reported partner is Philipp Hildebrand, vice chairman of BlackRock.
