About Me
Chartered accountant Motilal Oswal cofounded and chairs Mumbai-headquartered Motilal Oswal Financial Services. From a small stock brooking outfit, Oswal and his billionaire business partner Raamdeo Agrawal, grew it into a financial services firm. In their early days, the duo would walk a mile from the Bombay Stock Exchange to the nearest payphone to take orders from clients. Son of a grain trader, Oswal was the first person in his family to go to college. In 2023, he and cofounder Agrawal pledged to donate 5% of their respective holdings in Motilal Oswal for philanthropic causes such as education, health and rural upliftment.
