About Me
Onkar Kanwar is chairman of Apollo Tyres which makes tires for cars, trucks, farm vehicles and two-wheelers. It sells under the Apollo and Vredestein brands in India, Europe and Asia. He took control of the company in 2002 after a public battle with his father, the late Raunaq Singh, who started the company in 1976. Neeraj Kanwar, the younger of his two sons, is vice-chairman and managing director.
