About Me
Pavel Demidov is the founder of Dominant Group, one of Russia's largest sugar producers, which boasts more than 790,000 acres of agricultural land in the country. The group also owns four dairy plants and is among Russia's top ten cheese makers. In the 1990s Demidov worked as deputy CEO of Alfa-Eco, a company founded by fellow billionaire Mikhail Fridman, which has interests in the sugar trade. Demidov has a 50% stake in Dominant, his wife, Svetlana, owns the remaining 50%.
