About Me
Philip O'Doherty is the founder of E&I Engineering, an Irish IT company that he sold to Vertix Holdings in 2021 for almost $2 billlion in cash and stock. O?Doherty founded E&I in 1987 and owned about 80% of the business at the time of the sale to Vertix. The Queen's University graduate worked as an engineer for DuPont out in Campsie, Ireland for five years before venturing out on his own. When he sold E&I, the company had over 30 locations worldwide, sales of $460m and more than 2,100 employees.
