Qiu Guanghe is chairman and founder of Semir Group, the parent of Zhejiang Semir Garment, which makes and sells apparel. Semir Garment was founded in 2002, focusing on casual wear and children's clothing and now boasts nearly 8,000 stores across China (including franchises). Qiu founded the fashion retailing group in 1996 in his hometown of Wenzhou, a trading mecca in Zhejiang Province. Qiu Jianqiang, Qiu's son, chairs Zhejiang Semir Garment.
