About Me

Rodney Lewis grew up on the border in Laredo, Texas. Started Lewis Petro Properties in 1983 with one natural gas well. He eventually acquired 500,000 acres in the Eagle Ford shale and became the fourth-biggest gas producer in Texas. He owns America's biggest fleet of air-worthy World War II fighter planes, including a P-38 dug out of a Greenland glacier and restored. In 2004 Lewis was the first U.S. oilman to sign a contract to drill for Pemex in Mexico.
