About Me

Simona Giorgetta is the largest shareholder and on the board of MAPEI, a manufacturer of chemical products used in construction based in Milan, Italy. She is the niece of Giorgio Squinzi, who led MAPEI from 1984 until his death in October 2019; Giorgio's father Rodolfo founded the company in 1937. The company's products have been used in projects ranging from the Panama City metro to the restoration of the Coliseum in Rome. Giorgetta shares ownership of the company with her cousins Marco and Veronica, Giorgio's two children, who serve as co-CEOs of MAPEI. Together, Giorgetta and her cousins also own Italian soccer team Sassuolo Calcio, which Giorgio acquired in 2003.
