About Me

Vivek Ramaswamy is a biotech entrepreneur, author and Republican politician who ran for president in 2024. A Harvard and Yale Law graduate, Ramaswamy began his career on Wall Street trading biotech stocks for the hedge fund QVT. In 2015, he took public a speculative Alzheimer's drug (which later failed) in a $3 billion IPO that formed the basis of Roivant Sciences, a drug discovery and investment firm. In the years since, Roivant has helped bring multiple successful drug candidates to market; positive Phase 3 trial results for brepocitinib, which targets an autoimmune disease, sent its stock soaring in late 2025. Ramaswamy left Roivant in 2020 to write Woke, Inc., a best seller, and found Strive, an asset manager that provides anti-woke investment funds. Ramaswamy helped Elon Musk found DOGE as its co-head, but departed after a few weeks amid reports of butting heads with Musk.
