Ye Shanqun built up Shuanghuan in the spring of 1980 with only 3000 yuan and five instrument lathes in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Zhejiang Shuanghuan Driveline went public at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2010. Customers include Cummins,and Caterpillar, as well as SAIC Motor, China's largest automaker. For more than 40 years, the company has been mechanical transmission. It is a leading global manufacturer in the gear component industry. Shuanghuan set up a company in Hungary to support its Europe market.
